RESTRICTING EXPORT
— By Telegraph — CovyfI>ght).
Rec. Nov. 5, 5.5 p.m. London, November 4. It appears that the agreement with South Ameriean exporters, alludea to in the Daily Herald, was the direct result of the OttaWa-Australian agreement, whereunder from January 1 foreign lamh and heef is reduced 10 per cent. on the 1932 figures, inci'easing to a 35 per cent. reduction in the middle of 1934, Australia meanwhilie agreeing not to increase heef exports more than 10 per cent. The South Americans have since agraed to Britain's suggestion to voluntarily accept* the reduction to avoid the use of the compuls'ory powers.
