MAMOS DISQUALIFIED FOR USING STRANGLE HOLD Dunedin, Thursday. Dene Detton, 13st 61bs, win on--a foul from Harry Mamos, 13st 81bs, at the Town Hall to-night before a small crowd. In the first ronnd, Detton attempting a flying tackle, hurled himself over the Greek's head and landed in the ropes with such force that he was unable to continue and a fall was awarded to Mamos. In the fifth round, Mamos, was cautioned by the refer.ee for using the strangle-hold. He persisted in these tactics and the ref eree, Mr. Caughlan, declared Detton the winner.
