WOMAN RECUED FROM ROOF BY FIRE BRIGADE New Plymouth, Thursday. Falling nine feet from an upper storey window to the roof of a shop verandah below, Miss Veronica MeKelliget, a dressmaker, sustained a compound fracture of the leg and dislocation of the right ankle early this evening. Her position was such that the fire brigade had to be summoned. With the use of ropes and ladders, and the aid of passers-by, the woman was lowered safely to the road and l*emoved in the ambulance to hospital.
