VALEDICTGRY
A PLEASANT EVENING On Sunday night a most enjoyable evening was given at the "Regent" to Mr. and Mrs. Woods on the eve of their departure for England. The guests were received by Mrs. Rona Hodge who was tastefully dressed in a black and white crepe satin frock. Among the guests were Mesdames Jones, Fleming, Edwards, Dawson and Brett. The Misses Owens, Bunting, Byrne and Bates, Messrs. Hooper, Thomas, Henderson, Jones, Dunster, Dawsori, Chamberlain, Hart, Burnand, Rothery and Morgan. Items were rendered by Mesdames Fleming and Jones, Misses Owens, Bates and Bunting, Mr. and Mrs. Woods a'hd Messrs. Thomas and F. Jones% The remainder of the evening was passed in dancing and singing. In a happy valedictory speech, Mr. Thomas wished Mr. and Mrs. Woods God speed and success in their homfe eountry. Mr.. Woods suitably reslionded.
