CARD EVENING
The committee of the Opotiki Orchestral Society held a card evening in the Farmers' Social Rooms on Tuesday. The room was artistically and tastefully decorated with spring foliage, irises, and saringa while bunches of eultivated broom hung from pedestals in each corner. An ..excellent supper was provided and the evening passed pleasantly. There were nineteen tables of bridge and one of 500. Miss K. Hird and Mr. E._ Chapman being winners of the bridge and Mr. C. D. Brown and Mrs. J. Allan of the 500.
