The British Celanese Company, Limited, is suing Courtaulds, , Limited, for an alleged infringement of patents for making eellulose and acetate silk. Eight King's counsel are engaged. Counsel's opening speech will take three days. The documents in the case required a year to prepare. Courtaulds Company deny that they infringed plaintiff's patents, whose validity they attack, asking that the patents he revoked as they are not novel, owing to other patents dating from 1887. The capital of the two companies totals £42,450,000.
