Rec. Nov. 2, 7,0 p.m, . London, November 2. In the House of Lqrds, Lord tylount Temple moved that no credit should be extended to Russia, or cqmmereial agreements negotiated until Russia has takeh some steps to liquidate her debts to Great Britain. Anti-British propaganda, he said, wa's increasing. The recent marqhes ipto London were not .cjejnonstrations of thq unemployed, but were organised by Soviet money." Lord Londonderry said the Government was unable tq accept the motion which would not in any wise advance Lord Mount Temple's object. Questions of debt and trade must be kept separate and treated on their merits. Lord Londonderry gaid that while - the Government had not weakened against the SovieUs reprehensible attitude, nothing would be gained by the "big stick" policy. Lord Mount Temple, in withdrawing his motion, said that if The Government applies the same methods to Russia as they were applying to thp Irigh Free State, it would , meet with a large measure of spqcess.
