Sydney, October 28. In a speech at the Millions Club, the German aviator, Captain Hans Bertram, who was marooned in the Northern Territory when making a flight from China, said an aeroplane that could travel through space at a rate of 700 to 1000 miles an hour, and carry mails from Australia to Europe in nine or ten hours, is regarded as an almost accomplished fact. ' The 'plane, which has been eonstructed by Prof essor Junlcers, is called the stratoplane, and is now ready for trial. The machine would mount 50,000 feet into the stratosphere and travel at a speed up to 1000 miles an hour.
