BIG CONFLAGRATION •

Paris, October 27. The suburb of Longjumeau was thrilled at .midixight by a lorry, laden with 1000 gallons of petrol, colliding with a roadside shuttle train. The lorry caught fire, and 20 drums exploded in rapid succession burning the driver to death and setting fire to and destroying four houses, in one of which a wedding was being celebrated. Though the train was partially derailed' the driver managed to haul the train clear and avoid a holocaust.
