SMALLER ENTjRIES AND SLIGHT DECLINE IN PRICES ' GOOD QUALITY OFFERING Hamilton, Wednesday. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report on yesterday's Frankton stock sale as follows. — Cattle: Our entry of ox beef was a smaller one than usual, but of good , quality. Values declined a shade on late rates. Fat cattle prices were barely maintained on a medium entry. The store cattle offered included several jpens of yearling heifers, which changed hands at late market values. Prime fat bullocks made £5 12/6 to £6 15/-; medium quality do. £4 17/6 to £5 10/-; lighter quality do. £4 to £4 15/-; prime fat cow and heifer beef £4 7/6 to £5 2/6; medium sorts £2 17/6 to £4 5/-; lighter quality do. £2 7/6 to £2 15/-; light do. £1 18/- to £2 5 /-;■ good store cows £1 8/- to £1 14/-; poorer conditioned do. 18/- to £1 5/-; boners up to 16/-; medium quality yearling heifers £2 15/- to £3 7/-; poorer do. £1 10/- to £1 7/6; inferior up to £1 7/6. Sheep: — The prices realised for a small yarding of all classes of sheep showed a very appreciable improvement, the increase being pfincipally due to the short supply. A small pen of very prime hoggets sold on behalf of Mr. E. H. Jull Snr., o3 Te Rapa, were purchased by Messrs Crosby Bros. for 18/6 each. Prime wethers made 12/- to 13/7; medium quality 10/6 to 11/6; lighter up to 10/-; prime aged ewes 7/6 to 8/6; medium do. 6/9 to 7/6; light do. to 6/6; very prime hoggets 16/- to 18/-; prime do. 13/- to 15/6; lighter do. 11/- to 12/6; prime lambs 13/- to 15/6; medium do. 11/- to 12/6; lighter do. 10/- to 11/-. xfigs: For all classes of pigs values declined slightly. There was a full yarding of fat pigs and a medium entry of stores and weaners. Prime baconers £2 to £2 4/-; medium do. £1 15/- to £1 18/-; light do. £1 10/- to £1 14/-; heavy porkers £1 5/- to £1 7/6; light do. 18/- to £1 3/-; good stores £1 to £1 5/-; small do. 15/- to 18/-; large weaners 12/6 to 15/-; inferior 10/- to 12/-.
