The Mayor (Mr. T. Jackson) a there were two diffienlties. (1) | provision of the eouncil's portion the expense when the Works Conffl tee would want every penny toi ance its budget. (2) That the canS funds should benefit all returned s diers and not only members of! association. Cr. Bayfeild seconded the motion. Cr. O. H. Coleman said he woi like to see the matter referred toi finance committee. It was advisaj to know how the money was to found and how long the contributi was to continue. He moved, as amendment, that the matter he i ferred to the finance committee. Cr. H. Tai Mitchell seconded and! amendment was declared earried.
