Rec. Oct. 24, 5.5 p.m. London, October 23. C. Malfroy (New Zealand) defeated Ritichie (Britain), 6-0, 6-4, 2-6, 7-5, in the final of the Dulwich covered court tournament. Malfroy and Ritchie were defeated in the doubles final hy Lee and Milri, 6-2, 2-6, 8-6, 1-6, 6-2. Malfroy also lost the mixed final. Wallis Myers, in the Daily Telegraph, describes Malfroy and Ritchie as two of this year's most improved players. France, Australia, South Africa and Rumania have all won the Dulwich title, and this is New eZaland's first success. Malfroy, figuring- in all finals, played 121 games in one afternoon, a feat which Wallis Myers highly praises. Malfroy's serving and volleying, he describes as "almost Tildenesque."
