GOVERNMENT DETERMINED NOT TO. RELEASE GANDHI SITUATION HOPEFUL

Rec. Oct. 23, 5.5 p.m. Delhi, Oct. 22. Rapid progress is being made in an attempt to hring about communal political peace in the country. For the first time it can be said thnt the situation is hopeful. The Government is adamant toward the appeal for the release pf Gandhi, and this has allowed _ the movement to get prominent Hindus to persuade them to call off the disobedience campaign.
