AMENDMENTS. DEFEATED London, Opt. 2%. In the House of Commons> ill the debate on the financial resolution giving effect to the Ottawa agreements, Major C. R. Attlee (Labour, Limehouse, Stepney) moved an amendment making the agreements terminable at six months' notice. This was defeated by 221 votes to 58. Mr. Charles Brpwn's (Labour, Mansfield, Notts) "amendment to omit the paragraph in the Ottawa • agreement empowering the Board of Trade to prohibit goods produced and manufactured in f preign countries was defeated by 225 yotes to 54.
