WEIRD AND EERIE PICTURE OF FACT1. "ALMOST MARRIED." Mad mlsic, the maniacal song of a distorted passion, is heard in all its eerie and blood-tingling effect in some of the sequences of "Almost Married," Fox thriller dealing with the darker secrets of the subconscious, opening on Saturday at the Majestic Theatre. There are several situations in the chilling, thrilling story which revoli ves around the attempts of two lovers j to win freedom from the tenacious toils of a mad musician, where a demented genius pours forth his distorted soul in music. I Based on actual p'sychological facts, ; ihe new pieture, though weird and ! eerie in the extreme, is said to be • thoroughly human and believahle in I both characters and situations. It is devoid of any "tricks" or unbelievable plot manipulations, and tells in a straight from the shoulder way the struggle of two human souls to free themselves from the clutehes of the inhuman and supernatural. • The focal character, that of the crazed musician, is enacted by Alexander Kirkland, who was recently seen in the Fox drama, "Surrendel'." He shares the leading male honours with Ralph Bellamy, who also playad a prominent role in the previous film. Mfes Violet Heming, star of the Broadway stage, makes her screen ; debut as the feminine lead, with Allan 1 Dinehart, Eva Dennison, Grace Hamp- ! ton, Herbert Mundin, Herbert Bunsj ton, Maria Alba and Mary Gordon completing the cast.
