The Whakatane Golf Club conducted a flag bridge evening at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Balcer, on Tuesday last. Twenty tables were oecupied and Mr. G. Phillips donated prizes which were won by Messrs. W. Steel, R. S. Baker and Miss F. Bell. Those present included Mrs. R. S. Baker, Mrs. W. Ramson, Mrs. W. C. Roberts, Mrs. Canning, Mrs. L. Buddle, Mrs. C. H. Brebner, Mrs. F. Reynolds, Mrs. L. W. Luxton, Mrs. W. J. Sumner, Mrs. Sloane, Mrs. A. Moore, Mrs. Mussett, Mrs. T. Craddock, Mrs. C. A. Suckling, Mrs. I. Gow, Mrs. List, Mrs. W.
