GIRL GUIDES

Sister Harris, District Commissioner of Girl Guides, will arrive in Opotiki on Sunday, and will leave again at 2 p.m. on Monday. (Labour Day). Sister Harris, who will be welcomed by Captain Martin of the First Opotiki Company of Girl Guides, and by Captain Morell, of the St. Stephen's Girl Guide Company, is visiting Opotiki for the purpose of discussing the amalgamation of the two guide companies. It is believed that Captain Morell will take up the position as captain of the new company that will probably be formed, and that Captain Martin will become leader of the Ranger crew that she herself has formed.
