WOMEN'S CLUB
. MEETING AT ANZA TEAROOMS. There was a large attendance of members present at the usual monthly meeting held at the Anza tearooms last Tuesday afternoon. In a few words of welcome, Mrs. I. Davidson, the president, introduced the speaker for the afternoon, Mrs. I Dunlop, of Sydney, who, in rising, said her address would deal mainly upon the growth of Australia and women's affairs. Her subject proved a most enjoyable one, tracing as it did the growth of Australia from early conviet days up until present times. The speaker aiso dwelt briefly upon some of the various women's activities founded over there and it was largely due to Mrs. Dunlop that Wattle Day was organised in Australia. In conclusion, she laid several very helpful suggestions before the Rotorua Women's Club in the nature of beneficiary developmests to the town for, continued the speaker, "in women lies the future of the Empdre." On behalf of those present, Mrs. Davidson thanked Mrs. Dunlop for her most encouraging and inspiring address and the meeting closed with-a dainty afternoon tea.
