WOMEN'S CLUB
DANCE AT DIXIELAND. | There was a good attendance of j dancers and card-players present at ; the Rotorua Women's Club dance held ; in Dixieland last Friday evening. Both j bridge and 500 were popular, the winl ners of the former being Mrs. Wicks, ; and Mrs. Russell Gardner, while in ! the 500 tournament, Mrs. Bygrade : (Tirau) and Mrs. W. Walker proved j the winners.
During the evening, Mrs. W. A. Mc- ; Lean on behalf of the club, ■ thanked all present for their patronage, and expressed the hope that the club's exchequer would benefit a little by their efl'orts that evening. She also thanked Mrs. Bygrave, who had generously donated to the club's funds the money order which she had received as the prize for the 500 tournament. Among those present were: — Mrs I.
