The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report: At the Frankton sale on Tuesday there was only a small yarding of all ciasses of fat sheep, with a result that values showed an improvement on late quotations. Beef: — Only a small yarding of ox beef with prices improving slightly on late saies. Cow beef was yarded in average numbers and quotations were mueh firmer than previous saies. Store cattle : — The advertised lines attracted a good attendance of buyers, although in many cases the quality was not of the best. However, all lines clianged hands under spirited eompetition. 3-year Ilereford steers, £3 ls to £3 7s; 2-year P. A. steers, £3 3s to £3 14s; empty P.A. cows, 27s to 36s; 15-months P.A. steers, 25s to 27s 6d; 2-year empty heifers, 31s to 33s; good quality Jersey heifers, £3 to £3 8s; choppers, 30s to 35s; prime heavy baconers, £2 4s to £2 7s; medium, 36s to £2 2s; light, 31s to 35s; heavy porkers, 29s to 31s; medium, 26s to 28s; stores, 18s to 22s 6d; slips, 15s to 18s; weaners, 12s 6d to 15s; small, 8s to 11s. Pigs: — An average yarding of fat and store pigs came forward, with prices for all ciasses slightly eascer. Quotations : — • Heavy woolly wethers, 12s 9d to 13s 6d; medium shorn wethers, 11s to 11s 6d; light, 10s to 10s 4d; heavy fat shorn ewes, 9s 3d to 9s 6d; light, 7s 3d to 8s 4d; heavy fat hoggets, 12s 6d to 13s 6d; store hoggets, 9s; vealers, 20s to 25s; medium fat steers, £6 19s to £7 3s; light, £5 15s to £6 9d; killable, £4 5s to £4 15s; heavy fat cows, £4 5s to £5 5s; light, £2 10s to £3 11s; forward conditioned, 30s to 38s; 3-year Shorthoi*n steers, £3 ls to £3 5s; 2-year good quality Shorthorn steers, £2 16s to £2 19s; 2-year Shorthorn-Cross steers, 36s to £2 12s.
