WATERSIDERS' VIEWS
BLUNDER BY COMPANIES Auckland, Wednesday. _ The Auckland branch of the Waterside Workers' Union, in a statement, says the position that has arisen regarding the Remuera is due to the men individually refusing to undertake the class of work which, had they accepted it, would have resulted in each of them being declared "black" for life. The men feel that a blunder has been made by the freezing companies in displacing employees without 'first endeavouring to bring about a reconciliation, and are of opiniori that their action niay influence the freezing companies to re-consider the position. W ork on all other cargoes is being • done normally. r?
