WATERSIDERS REFUSE TO LOAD BUTTER FOR ENGLAND " USE OF FREE LABOUR

Auckland, Wednesday. A call for labour was made at 8.30 tjiis morning to load butter on the Remuera for England. The butter had been handled in the grading store by free labour, following the refusal of union men fo accept the employers' new conditions. The watersiders mad-e no response to the call, and no loading was done. This morning no call was made f or free labour, and it is understood none will be made to-day.
