THE WEATHER
The Government meteoroloflist issued the following weather report and forecast last niffht: — General situation: . A slight antTcyclone is covering the Dominion today, while a shallow depression has been advancing over the Tasman Sea. Forecast: Winds becoming northeasterly or northerly and gradually fresheni'ng. Weathe-M- Mainiy fair at first with rising tempenatures, but haze and cloud gradually increasing and rain developing shortly in northern and western districts; later rain becoming more widespread.
Following are the barometer, maximum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 Barometer 29.934ins. Thermometer (max.) - 63.7deg. .Thermometer (min.) 47.5deg. Thermometer (min. on grass) 44.0deg. Rainfall 0.11hrs. Bright Sunshine 4.0hrs.
