THREE KILLED WHEN CAR COLLIDES WITH TRAIN

Melbourne, Oct. 17. Three youths, Wallace Herd, David Stewart, and Rex Elbourne-, were killed and a fotirth was critieally injured in a crossing smash near Ballarat. Eye-witnesses state that the car appeared to be trying to beat the train to the crossing.
