BASKETBALL DANCE

i END OF SEASON FUNCTION PROVES THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE Amidst gay decorations of strean ers, flags and lycapodium, over fe hundred guests danced to the musi of Epi Shalfoon and his melody boys in the Majestic ballroom on Wedne; day evening. The occasion was the grand final of the Rotorua Baskethall Assocfe tion's season. The committee had worked strer uously to ensure every success ft the dance, and they were not disap pointed hy results. The decon tions deserve special mention. Cat ried out in the clubs' colours the; made an attractive showing in bot! the ballroom and supper room. Tt entrance to the stage was surmounl ed by a large horseshoe, clustere with posies of rose-pink rhododet drums. Iceland poppies and colourei streamers were the principal decora tions in the supper rooms and tb supper itself reflected great creditui on the labours of an excellent com niittee, comprised of Mrs. T.
