W.C.T.U. MEETS

The Opotiki branch of the W.C. T.U. held its regular monthly meeting in St. John's Hall on Thursday afternoon. A solo was given by Miss Sampson, and Sister Jessie addressed those presOnt on "Maori Life and Work." Mr. Lee, who is lecturing* on the Dr. Barnardo's- Homes told the meeting some interesting facts aboufs the excellent work being carried out by this well-known movement. The hostesses for the afternoon were: — Mesdames J. T. Thompson and C. Hambly.
