Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, report on the spring cattle fair held in the Whakatane saleyards yes- " terday. There was a very heavy yarding, all pens being filled, a special feature being several lines of sta- jji tion-bred Hereford and P.A. cattle |I| of extra good quality. There was a :* large attendance, but the usual quota II! of outside buyers was absent. j'j Prices were affected by the recent [ji drop in .other districts and buyers' ||| limits on station cattle were below sellers' reserves with the result that j|| only a few pens changed hands.
