FULL YARDING OF CATTLE - SHOWS NO INCREASE IN RATES The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agemcy Company, Limited, report as follows upon their monthly ' stock sale held at Opotiki: — A full yarding of cattle met with good, competition, but prices did not show an increase on late rates. There was a large entry .of bulls, chiefly Jersey, and a consignment from W. J. Paul, of Toa Toa, realised from 11| to 18!gns. A poor yarding of sheep which met with good competition. Prices realised were: — Weaner pigs to 10s 6d; fat maiden ewes to 11s; dairy heifers, Jersey, to £6 10s; baekward calvers to £4 5s; Shorthorns to £4 10s; others to £3 15s; yearling heifers, £1 5s to 35s; twoyear empty heifers, 35s to £2 5s; dairy cows, poor assortmqnt, to £3 5s; yearling steers, 19s to 24s; two- and three-year steers to £2 6s; bulls, grade Jerseys, £4 5s to £6 12s 6d; pedigree, 9 guineas to 18 % guineas; Shorthorn and others to £3.
