Adelaide, October 7. The Hill Government was defeated in the Assembly hy 27 votes to 16, when the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Butler, was successful in h'aving progress reported on his Wheat Storage Bill. Mr. Hill earlier in the sitting threatened that the Government would have to consider seriously its position if the Bill, which was introduced hy the Leader of the Opposition as a private measure, were passed. In the Assembly Mr. L. L. Hill
(Colonial Treasurer) stated the estimated revenue for 1932-33 was £10,056,807 and the estimated expen- . diture £11,244,300, the estimated de- : ficit being £1,187,493, compared with £1,063,360 last year. The unemployment position had shown a marked improvement, while the seasonal outlook was encouraging and there was every prospect of a record wheat harvest.
