The New Zealand women's golf championships continued under entirely satisfactory weather conditions, and as on the opening day the play aroused a great deal of interest amongst enthusiasts, the progress of the games being followed with unusual keenness. Results: — N.Z. SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP First Round Miss F. Pringle (Timaru) beat Miss Theomin (Otago), 4 and 3. Mrs. H. Collinson (Manawatu) beat Miss V. Fleming (Christchurch), 5 and 3. Miss J. Horwell (Timaru) beat Mrs Gamble (Otago) 6 and 5.
