REPORT OF COMMITTEE LAID BEFORE COUNCIL. The special committee set up by the Rotorua Borough Council to confer with the Gymnastic Club h'as reported as follows: — That subject to the consent of tbe Fire Board, to accept a section other than the one originally allotted to the board, the council lease to the Gymnastic Club at a peppercorn rental, an area of approximately one-third of an acre adjoining the A. and P. Association's section, and that an area of half an acre adjoining ths section proposed to be leased to the Gymnastic Club be allotted to the Fire Board in lieu of the section originally allotted. The lease to be subject to tbe Gymnastic Club becoming an incorporated body and including in its articles of incorporation such safeguards as the council deems necessary to protect the council's interests in the land.
