SALUTARY SENTENCE
Auckland, Thursday. George Cecil Horry (25), a motor driver, pleaded guilty to-day to five cliarges of obtaining goods and money by fraud in Auckland and Wellington. It was stated that accused, on arriving from Wellington, hooked at a leading hotel as Captain Cunliffe, and later left for Sydney by the Mariposa, but he was deported back to Auckland. Ple had 48 previous convictions". ' The magistrate sentenced him to six months' imprisonment, to he followed by three years' reformative treatment. * u
