LONDON WOOL SALES
London, October 5. At the wool saies, 8906 bales were offered, including 6768 of New Zealand. About 6883 bales were sold. The market was active with well-dis-tributed competition. There were a few withdrawals. Crossbreds were firm, but greasy Merinos dropped five per cent. compared with opening prices. New Zealand clips: Crossbred "Fernside," top price, 9Jd; average, 7£d; scoured, "Glenlyon," 19 Sd and 17id.
