DECISION OF UMPIRE. The right of British' professiottal f ootba'llers to claim the dole,' though offer&d terms by their club, has been conceded by the decisi'on of- Mr. WAddington Willis,' the Unemployment Insurance. ' Colin McNab; an international halfback, and Wilson Marsh, goalkeeper, of the Dundee' Football Club, in May last refuse'd Ue-ehgag'ement by • the club, and their applicatio'n for unemployriient pay was repected hy- the Dundee Referees' Court, as the Dundee Club held their trarisfers-. Mri Willis, itt his ' judgment, ^ stated that hd was unable to agree With the Court of Ref brfees that the two claimaijts wer'e h6t a'vailable for worlc with the ^Dundee Club ori suitable ter'ms.In reference to the claim of McNab, the umpire mentioned that the club had offered him £3 a week fqr the close "sea'son, and "£5 a week--fbr the playing season 1932-33, if playing in tbe first team, and £3 a week if not. During the preceding year h'e had heen paid £5 a week for the close s'eason and £6 a week for the football season The decision means that both McNab and Marsh were entitled to fu'll dble moriey ftom the beginning of May till the date of sighirig on.
