DEMAND FOR YEARLINGS AT MATAMATA BULL SALE Matamata, Tuesday. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report: — The yarding of bulls at Matamata numbered in the vicinity of 200 of all breeds. There was a good attendance of buyers. Aged bulls brought poor eompetition, but good type yearlings were in demand and realised satisfactory price s. Pedigree : The top price for two-y ear pedigree Jerseys, 20 gns, was realised i for Otterburn Frank, offered on behalf of Mr. W. Mears, Walton, the purchaser being Mr-. A. Weeks, Waharoa. On behalf of the same vendor, Otterburn Volunteer realised 17gns., being purchased by Mr. F. Lennard, Ngongotaha, and Otterburn Medico realised 15gns, being purchased by Messrs Cook and Wheadon, Matamata. On behalf of Mr. A. H. Scherer, Waharoa, Tyntesfield Defender realised 17£gns., the purchaser being Mr. J. Carruthers, Okoroire. ■ "Ysaflings; On behalf of Mr. R. K. Garland, Okauia, Tyntesfield Combination realised the top price of 18gns., P'urchased by Mr. J. Thomlinson, Ngarua. On account of the same vendoi', Tyntesfield Fasheen realised llgns, the purchaser being Mr. F. Lennard Ngongotaha. Aged pedigrees realised from 3gns to 8gns. Pedigree Friesians met with poor eompetition and realised from 3 to 6 gns. Grades: Best yearling Jerseys £6 to £7 10/-, others £4 10/- to £5 15/-; two and three-year Jerseys £6 to £8 15/-, aged £2 15/ - to £5; 2-year Ayrshires to £9, yearling Shorthorns £6 to £6 10/-, 2 and 3-year Shorthorns £7 to £7 15/-, aged to £5.
