ROWING CLUB ANNUAL MEETING AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS

The annual meeting of the Opotiki Rowing Club was held on Friday, Mr. P. Fox presiding. The balance sheet showing a credit balance of £23 odd was adopted. The election of officers for the season resulted: — Patron, Mr. S. E. ! Webb; president, Mr. C. S. Morris; vice-presidents, Messrs. VfSavage, J. O'Sullivan, A. Stephenson, C. D. Dawson, W. F. Creswell, J. Smith; starter, Mr. G. L. Day; cluh captain, Mr. V. Mulhern; timekeeper, Mr. H. Larmer; treasurer, Mr. B. O. Mansell; secretary, Mr. P. Fox; committee, club captain, Messrs. Croll, Pearce, D. Mulhern, treasurer and secretary. The following new members were elected: — Messrs. E. N. Boyce, J. McGuire, D. Croll, K. Hansen, S. Pritchard, H. Satchell, H. Simpson, E. Seville, A. J. Kelly, C. Wolfenden. Subscriptions were fixed at the same figure as for past seasons, viz., | senior, £1 ls; junior, 15s 6d; high school, 7s 6d; Sunday, 7s 6d. A 2s 6d entrance fee for all new members to be charged. It was decided that a working bee be held at the club's shed on October 2, and the opening day was fixed for October 9.
