BIOGRAPHIC BREVITIES.
Jack Buchanan, star of "Man of Mayfair" first appeaved in pictures in America where he made "Paris" and "Monte Carlo." His first British picture is "Man of Mayfai--." Ile sings "Alone with xny Dreams," incidentally his own composition, and does some clever dancing. These brought him l'ame on the stage. =i= * Joan Barry was first heard in pictures. She voice hloubled' for Anny Ondra in a picture and so appealed that producers were interested to find she had beauty as well. In the picture "Man of Mayfair" she plays the part of the stage star who prefers to masquerade in the country. Charles Quartermaine, valet of the picture, is well known on the London stage, as well as New York. He has appeared in several American pictures l>ut "Man of Mayfair" is the first British picture in which he has appeared. * * Warwick Ward is one of the best known of English picture players. He was seen in "These Charming People," and "Stamboul" and now plays an important role in "Man of Mayfair." Ilarry Milton, who plays the chauffeur in "Man of Mayfair," was in tho R.A.F. in the war and afterwards went on the stage. He is the husband of Dorothy Bouchier and has appeared in many pictures. * * Ina Wilson has been eleven years playing the vill'age idiot or hulf witted office hoy in stage plays and pictures. He has a short similar part in "Man of Mayfair." Lillian Braithwaite sfarted in amateur theatricals. She started professionally in South Africa with a Shakespearean company repeating later in London. A long list of stage success and a number of pictures have followed.
