A HAPPY FAMILY NO DISCORDANT NOTES AT PARTY'S FIRST CAUCUS VEiRY SATISFACTORY MEETING

Wellington, Friday. The first caucus of the Coalition Party was held to-day, members meeting for two hours. A motion of continued eonfidence in the Coalition was carried. "It was a very satisfactory meeting," said the Primo Minister, Rt."* Ilon. G. W. Foroes, at the conclusion of the caucus. "We discussed the work to be done this session and after that Mr. Coates addressed the meeting 011 work done at Ottawa. Members ex-pa-essed their satisfaetion at 'the way in which' Mr. Coates had represmted ' New Zealand at Ottawa. "The whole of the diseussions were of a very friendly na'ture," added Mr. Forbes, "and there was no discordant note." _ The following resolution was carried 011 the anniversary of the formation of the Coalition: "This caucus of members expresses its entire satisfaetion that the eouvsie adopted was in the national interest and records Rs continued loyalty to the Government." A resolution of sympathy with the member for Rotorua, Mr. C. II. Clinkard, in the death of his wife, was carried.
