ALLEGED TNTERFERENCE WITH HQKSE AT ROSEHILL

Sydney, Sept. 23. An analysis of the thistle which it is helieved was intended for the doping of Promptitude at the Rosehil races was found to eontain atropine. The police have prepared a report, which is now being considered by the sfcawards. At the Rosehill races on Saturday last it was revealed that a stable-hoy was handed six £1 notes and a thistle on condition that he give Promptitude the thistle. The boy poeketed the £6 and tossed the thistle into an outhouse. The thistle, when examined, was found to eontain mysterious crystals plugged into the stalk. These it is stated have proved to be atropine, the effect of which would have a deadening effect 011 an animal if taken into the system.
