BRADMAN'S BOMBSHELL

Rec. Sept. 23, 9.10 p.m. Sydney, Sept. 23. Bradman threw a bombshell into cricketing circles in regard to playerwriters, when he declared this afternoon that the Board of Control has j said its last word. "It means that I j will not be available for test cricket. I r-igned a contract to write articles, which I must observe. I cannot allow i cricket to interfere with my work. Unless the State has some similar rule. I at least will he able to p.lay for New South Wales." The Sun, the newspaper for which Bradman has contracted to write a series of articles announced in the | last edition: 'The Sun will not stand unreasonably in the way of Bradman playing test cricket."
