CRICKET CONTROL BOARD PROHIBITS WRITING FOR PRESS SEVERAL PLAYERS BARRED

Rec. Sept. 23, 8.30 p.m. Sydney, Sept. 23. The Board of Cricket Control, by a further decision', has prohibited test players from writing for the press, except those whose sole occupation is journalism. Thus Ponsford, Woodful, Grimmett and Bradman come within the ban. Ponsford w.as formerly employed by the Melbourne Herald, but is now employed by the Melbourne Cricket Club, Woodful is a school teacher, and Bradman is employed in a sports emporium. He recently signed a conti'act to supply articles to city newspapers.
