Cow beef, which was yarded in average numbers, met with dull competition and sold at prices much lower than last week's quotations. Store cows for fattening met with a firmer marlc- | et, while others maintained late rates. Prime fat bullocks, £6 10s to £8 5s; medium quality, £5 15s to £6 5s; lighter ditto, £4 17s 6d to £5 10s; unfinished, £4 5s to £4 15s; prime fat cows, £5 12s 6d to £6 10s; medium quality, £4 to £5 5s; lighter ditto, £3 12s 6d to £4; light ditto, £3 to £3 10s; killable, £2 to £2 15s; good stores, £1 2s to £1 13s; poorer, ditto 16s to £1 ls. Sheep: — A large yarding of all classes of fat sheep failed to maintain late rates, especially towards the end of the sale. Spring lambs sold on a par with last week's prices. Prime fat wethers, 11s to 14s 6d; fat wethers, 10s to 11s; lighter quality, 9s to 10s; prime fat ewes, 7s to 9s; medium quality, 6s to 7s; lighter ditto, up to 6s; prime hoggets, 10s to 12s; medium sorts, 8s 6d to 9s 9d; prime spring lambs, 12s to 14s 6d; medium ditto, 10s to 11s 9d. Pigs : — There was an average yarding of both fat and store pigs, prices for both sorts being fully maintained. Heavy baconers, £1 18s to £2 5s; lighter ditto, £1 8s to £1 13s; good porkers, £1 5s to £1 10s; inferior ditto, £1 to £1 5s; good sorts, 18s to £1 2s; poorer ditto, 15s to 18s; large weaners, 12s to 14s; smaller ditto, 8s to 10s.
