MATAMATA JERSEY CLUB
SALE OF PEDIGREE BULLS The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having conducted the third annual pedigree bull sale of the Matamata Jersey Club on Tuesday. Prior to the sale Mr. F. S. Veale, of Tamahere, officiated as judge to the show. The cup presented by the club, was won by the estate of J. Colson, with the yearling bull, "Brookdell's Challenge," Mr. J. E. Barker's "Merton Lord Ivy" being reserve champion. Some of the principal saies were: — Two-year bulls: — Superb Sweet William, purchased by Mr. J. R. Roberts, at 24gns; Willonyx Advance, purchased by Mr. Thos. Jones, at 50 gns; Merton Lord Ivy, purchased by Mr. C. P. Wilson, at 30gns. Yearling Bulls: — Maid's Noble Lad, purchased by Mr. J. Hamilton, at 19Sgns; Derry's Oimara went to Mr. J. L. Scott, at 22gns; Tiny's Prince to Mr. W. Mears, at 22£gns; Goldlinks Volunteer, purchased by Mr. T. A. Barker, at 25gns; Fairy Meadows Dawn, purchased by Mr. P. J. Peterson, Brixton, for 33gns; Brookdells Dart, purchased by Mr. G. J. C. Knauf, at 22gns.
