Melbourne, Sept. 22. The residents of Benalla were terrified by another earth tremor of great force. Buildings were badly damaged, and crockery and ornaments smashed. Some people were thrown from iheir seats. Dwellings were shifted; others rdiowed large cracks in briclt walls, and many chimneys toppled. The shoclc appeared to occur only in the centre of the town. It was not felt outside a radius of a quarter of a mile and it lasted only a few seconds.
