APPEALS FOR UNITY

Rec. Sept. 22, 9.10 p.m. Loindon, Sept. 22. In the absence of a definite declaration before Cabinet meets, the prospect of the Liberal cession is much discussed in the Press. Editorial appeals are made in both the Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail in which the Liberals are urged not to split the National Government. The Daily Mail says that resignations would be taken abroad as a sign of disunity among the parties, which gave the Government its strength, and would tend to wealcen British influence in Europe a| a critical moment.
