Hamilton, Wednesday. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their usual weekly stock sale at Frankton saleyards on Tuesday, as under: — Fat sheep: — There was a large yarding and prices were. lower. Fat ewes dropped 2s per head and fat wethers ls per head. We sold prime shorn wethers at up to 12s; fat woolly wethers, 12s 6d to 13s; fat woolly ewes, 7s ld to 9s; fat hoggets, 9s lOd to 10s 5d; unfinished shorn wethers, 9s 2d; spring lambs, 13s 6d. Store sheep: — There was a good demand. We sold medium hoggets at 8s 3d; small ditto at 7s 3d; F.M. ewes in lamb, 8s 3d. Fat cattle: — A large yarding and prices were a shade lower. Extra prime ox sold at up to 21s per hundred, and prime ox beef at 20s per hundred. Cow and heifer beef, 16s to 18s per hundred. We sold fat bulloeks, £5 6s to £7 5s; light and unfinished, £4 9s to £5 5s; fat cows and heifers, £4 5s to £5 12s; runner, £2 8s; vealers, 15s. Store cattle: — A fairly large yarding, including some nice quality drafts of P.A. cows and heifers from West Coast clients. There was quite a good demand and practieally all were sold at the following- prices. Three-year store condition P.A. steers, £2 17s 6d; 2-year Shorthorn steers, £1 17s; empty fresh P.A. cows, £2 19s; 3-year P.A. empty heifers, £2 11s to £3 2s; 2-year P.A. heifers, empty, £1 19s to £2 10s; mixed 2-year steers, 27s; 2-year heifers, £1 16s; forward young cows, £2 2s to £3 ls; store cows, 25s to 33s; yearling Jersey heifers, £3 4s; small ditto, 30s; sound young Jersey cows, 29s. Pigs : — there was a medium yarding of fat pigs, and a very heavy yarding of store pigs. Fat pigs sold at a keen demand, best baconei-s making up to £2 9s; store pigs sold under keen competition, best stores 26s 6d. We quoto heavy baconers £2 4s to £2 7s; medium ditto, 35s to £2; light baconers 29s to 34s; porkers, best, 27s 6d to 32s 6d; medium, 22s 6d to 25s; lighter, 18s to £1; best stores, 22s 6d to 26s 6d; medium, 16s to £1; best weaners up to 14s; others, 10s to 12s 6d.
