MECHANICS MUST SIT EXAMINATION FOR CERTIFICATE

Wellington, Wednesday. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Motor Trade Association at Wellington to-day, approved the scheme for- the certification of motor ! mecha-nics, and two examiners were ] appointed to operate throughout the | Dominion. The examiners will also certify I garages which come up to standard j A class. The classifieation of garages j has been already undertaken by aj special committee. Emblems will be issued for exhihition in approved garages and repair shops. The officers elected are as follows: President, Mr. II. J. Jenki'ns (Oamaru) ; vice-presidents, Messrs H, E[ Avery, (Wellington), and W. Grieve (Invercargill) ; executive,, Messrs. S. C. Cadman (Auckland), E. J. M. Ferguson (New Plym.outh), H., E. Avery (Wellington), G. M. Tench (Christchurch)-, W. Grieve (Invercargill) .
