EXTRA HEAVY YARDING OF SHEEP AND CATTLE Hamilton, Tuesday. At the weekly stock sale at the Frankton yards to-day there was an extra heavy yarding of sheep and cattle. Prices for sheep were considerably easier, espeeially for ewes. Ox beef was also easier, a drop of over ls per 1001b, being recorded. Quotations were: — Prime fat wethers, 13s 9d to 14s 6d; prime fat sh'orn wethers 11s 6d to 12s; medium fat wethers, 12s to 12s 9d; light fat wethers, 10s 6d to 11s 3d; heavy prime fat ewes, 10s to 11s 3d; medium 7s 6d to 9s 6d; light fat ewes, 6s to 7s 3d; spring lambs, 12s 6d to 14s 6d; hoggets, heavy, 10s 6d to 11s 6d; lighter, 9s to 10s 3d; shorn hoggets, 9s to 9s 6d. Beef: Heavy prime fat steers £7 to £8; lighter fat steers, £6 5s to £6 15s; light prime fat steers, £4 17s 6d to £5 10s 6d; unfinished steers £3 12s 6d to £4 15s; heavy fat cows, £5 2s 6d to £5 10s; lighter fat cows, £4 10s to £5; light fat cows, £3 7s 6d to £3 17s 6d. Pigs: There was a good yarding of pigs, prices for baconers again advancing. Heavy baconers £2 2s to £2 9s; lighter baconers, 39s to 41s; heavy porkers, 28s t® 32s.
