Rec. Sept. 20, 7.40 p.m. Calcutta, Sept. 20. Interviewed in gaol, Gandhi revealed his attitude on the electorate issues, agreeing to any alternative proposal which would not provide for separate electorates for the depressed classes. Gandhi's now proposal will be placed before the Hindu depressed classes' leaders to-day. The cordiality with which the proposals were received at yesterday's meeting, gives hope of an early settlement.
