JUNIGR CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDED TO KAHUKURA COMING REP. GAMES The weekly meeting of the management committee of the Rotorua Rugby sub-Union was held in the Union's rooms last night, the president (Mr. T. S. Robertson) occupying the chair. x The seeretary was instructed to finalise arrangements for, the WaipaTe Arawa tribal match to be played at Rotorua on Saturday next. It was also decided to ai'range a match with Morrinsville, this season's champion team of the Waikato, to play the tribal team on Saturday, October 1. An application from the Whakatane Club delegate for permission for Whaka to play Te Telco, was granted. Arising out of a question asked by Mr. A. de Luen as to the position of the junior championship, the chairman stated that it had been decided that Iligh School and Kahukura be joint holders of the cup for this season. The Kahukura delegate spolce regarding his club's feeling in the matter, stating that it was the players' wish to play a deciding match against High School, especially in view of tho fact that the team had stood down to allow the school' to play other iixtures. Mr. W. G. Harwood stated that h? had laid down a definite policy at the start of the season and that the school would not appear as a foot» ball team again this season. He then moved that the union award the junior cup to the Kahukura juniors. This was carried. Two union officials spoke in rogard to the offensive behaviour of a spec° tator at Arawa Park last Saturday, It was resolved to write to the oifender warning him off the gronnds under the jurisdiction of the Rotorua Union until the close of tho 1933 season. Saturday's Games Senior representative match Waipa v. Te Arawa Tribal, 3 p.m, Junior curtain-raiser : — Patetero v, Kahukura.
